WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING?

We are excited to have your students join us this summer for camp! There are a few things that they will need to ensure that they have a great camp experience! Please ensure that your students bring the following:

  • Several changes of clothing to change during the day (at least 2 if they participate in water games), as well as enough clothing for 4 days.
  • Plenty of sun screen!!!! Sunburns are real…and they hurt!
  • Bug spray, as we will participate in outdoor activities.
  • Bedding: either twin bed sheets and blankets or a sleeping bag.
  • Water shoes are optional, but not required.
  • Closed-toed shoes if they are wanting to participate in rock climbing and paintball.
  • Paintball: Make sure that students wear a long sleeve shirt, and pants, or joggers (this helps reduce the impact on bare skin.)
  • At least 2 towels, one for swimming and the other for showering.
  • Showering and personal toiletries. We do not want stinky teenagers! Deodorant is highly recommended.

THE GETAWAY DRESS CODE:

  • Please refrain from wearing shorts that are shorter than 2in. from your knee.
  • If you are going to were tank tops, they must be at least 3 fingers lengths long.
  • Girls, please refrain from wearing low-cut V-neck clothing.
  • Please ensure that your students bring clothes that they do not mind getting wet/dirty in.
  • Students will be participating in outdoor activities, bring loose-fitting clothing that they can move and run in.
  • Swimming attire: All female students/leaders are to wear a dark-colored shirt over their swimsuit, their bottoms/shorts must be appropriate All male students/leaders are to wear a shirt when they are swimming.
  • Students who are participating in rock climbing must bring closed-toed shoes to climb, along with loose-fitting clothing.
  • Students who are wanting to participate in paintball must wear jeans, joggers, or any other type of long clothing that is not shorts. It would also be a good idea to wear a long-sleeved shirt. (Trust me, your legs and arms will thank you later!)
  • All cabin leaders have the authority to have a student change if they are in violation of the dress code.
